Additional Cost Opportunities

Monthly car pool to a ski area outside of Fernie
There are so many great places to ski in the Elk Valley and beyond that we’re hoping to coordinate some carpools to these places to experience other ski areas as a group. Options include the Boivin Trail in Elkford, Kimberley Nordic Centre and Allison-Chinook trails in the Crowsnest Pass. We will hopefully have enough attendance to break into groups for different goals and paces for the day and maybe go out for a meal in the local area afterwards. There will be an additional cost of travel, day passes and food unless you bring your own.

Day(s): Saturday or Sunday
Time: TBD
Location(s): TBD

Training Opportunities
While training opportunities (beyond Wednesday intensity sessions and Saturday long skis) will come with an additional cost, there was quite a lot of interest in training plans and strength sessions. If you are interested in training beyond what was mentioned above it would be helpful to contact me directly to express your interest and we can see if we have the numbers we need.

Technique-Focused Lessons
Coaches Tarah, Emily and Susan will be offering group and private lessons throughout the season. Please keep an eye on the Fernie Nordic Society webpage, social media and monthly newsletter for an update about lessons but feel free to get in touch via the website at any time.
